From Maureen Ryan, your Guide to Toddlers and Twos
As I stand in the kitchen making dinner, my Little Guy regularly runs through with a variety of different props. One minute he comes in with a light saber and swings it once or twice with a "Woosh"; exit right. Next he comes in with a fireman's hat, grabs my paper towel roll and puts out a fire in the corner; exit left.

I know he's learned a lot of these moves from his siblings and is imitating movies and stories, but it still amazes me to see him inventing and acting out dramatic stories at such a young age. Ever wish you could get a peek inside those little minds? I can't offer you that, of course, but I can give you some insight into what these imaginative games are all about.
