FaceBook Status: I've been hacked!!
There is a joke teens, siblings and parents play on each other that is very humorous when the opportunity arises. The joke involves hacking your teen's Facebook page and posting a funny status. Now, I am by no means suggesting anyone break into someone else account - **shaking head** no, no.

But, if per chance your teen's computer is down and they use yours and leave themselves logged in so that when you check your FB page you wonder why you are getting messages from all of these kids until you realize that you are not in your account, then a non-embarrassing status update is fun. Like the one I wrote on my dds status yesterday: "I have the best mom. EVER." After people she knows hit the like button, she found it and wrote back: "Hacked! Haha but it is true :P"

The moral of this story: Get involved with your teen online as well as in the real world. It's another great way to connect and strengthen those family bonds!

On a side note, teach your teen to log out of their accounts when at a friend's home or any public area. What can be a joke, can get ugly if the jokester isn't being nice.

Share what you would put in your teen's FB status if given the chance in our comments area.
