Teens Postponing Sex Until Later
A report from the NCHS shows that teens, ages 15 - 17 are not out there 'doing it' like the media portrays and most people believe. The article about the report says, "72 percent of teens aged 15 to 17 had not had sex, but this reversed by ages 18 to 19, when about 62 percent reported having sexual intercourse at least once."

This is promising because the older someone is before engaging in sexual activity the more likely they are to make the right choices about their partners and birth control. This trend, if it continues, should lead to less teen pregnancies and STDs.

The article noted that what seems to be working is talking to teens and telling them about the dangers of having unprotected sex at a young age. I think that parents are more involved with their teenagers these days and it is playing a major role. What do you think? Please share your thoughts in the comments area.
