From Heather Corley, your Guide to Baby Products
I think it's likely that we'll see a rule about car seats on airplanes fairly soon. After all, it is somewhat strange that there are rules about how coffee pots must be secured on a plane, and adults can be arrested for not following the seatbelt rules during takeoff and landing, but we still allow babies and toddlers to be secured only by a parent's arms. No one really wants to add to the list of items they must carry when traveling, but there are a few ways to make the trip with kids without quite so much hassling with gear.

Car Seats On Airplanes: The Debate Rages On
For years, rumors have swirled about the possibility of new rules requiring the use of car seats for babies and toddlers on airplanes. Those of you who are already purchasing seats for your babies and toddlers are probably thinking, "what's the big deal?" However, there are a number of families who say they just won't fly if baby is required to have a seat, too. When money and safety collide, it can be hard to know where to draw the line sometimes.

Air Travel Tips for Parents of Babies & Toddlers
I know, the idea of adding a car seat (or two) to your stack of things to carry through an airport makes you want to pull out your hair. These tips will help you pack smart and find the easiest ways to get to the gate with all of your baby's gear, plus the actual baby, in tow.

GoGo Kidz Travelmate Review
This is one of my all-time favorite baby products because it makes traveling with baby much easier. Instead of carrying your car seat around, you can simply turn it into a stroller, and then it also carries the most important cargo - your baby. You can leave the TravelMate attached to the car seat on the plane, so you won't have to fuss with it until you're ready to hit the rental car lot.

CARES Airline Harness Review
If you're traveling on a plane with a toddler, the CARES Airline Harness is another option for keeping your little one safely restrained. I'm not a fan of checking your car seat as luggage, so I'd suggest using the CARES harness for times when you won't need a car seat at your destination, or when there's a safe car seat option waiting for you when you get off the plane.
