| | Happy Mother's Day I would like to wish the mother's in our parenting community a very happy Mother's Day! I've been retrospective of late as my oldest is graduating college, has gotten a good position in her field of study and signed a lease this week on an apartment six hours away from home. Needless to say, my heart strings have been in a knot and my other daughters have noticed. They have offered to make me feel better on Mother's Day by making me tacos and chocolate pudding.
Considering they are old enough to clean the kitchen, I took them up on that offer. It's really the best gift of all because they aren't just giving me a meal. They are showing me what I've given to them, and their young adult sister, as their mother - a sense of belonging, security and family - right when I need it most. I'm am going to enjoy Mother's Day knowing that all of my daughters have everything they need and it is my hope that you will enjoy the day too.
Just in case you think I may be getting too weepy, don't worry! Humor helps... here is the quote I will be sharing on my fan page at Facebook later today(Are you a fan, yet?):
