From Heather Corley, your Guide to Baby Products
Baby products recalls seem to happen in clumps. The latest bunch of recalls includes stairway gates that could allow baby to fall, and soft sling carriers that are linked to infant suffocation deaths. This week, I've got information on these recalls, plus information on how to handle baby gear recalls and how to search for additional recall information.

Infantino Recalls 1 Million Baby Slings
Infantino has recalled their SlingRider baby slings following CPSC warnings about baby sling safety and suffocation risks. Three infant deaths are related to this recall.

Evenflo Recalls Top-of-Stair Wood Gates
About 150,000 Evenflo Top-of-Stair Plus Wood Gates are recalled because the gate slats can break or detach, which could allow a child to fall. This recall also includes 33,000 safety gates in Canada.

Wht To Do When Your Baby Products Are Recalled
If you're like me, you get a little bit panicked when something your child has been using is recalled. Danger and my child, in close proximity? Sound the alarm! However, most recalls are fixed pretty easily. Here's how to handle a baby products recall.

How to Search for Baby Products Recalls
CPSC's website contains listings for recalled products of all types. Sometimes non-child-related product recalls, such as window blinds, can affect the safety your baby or toddler. You can browse CPSC's recall listings or search for specific recalls.
