Community, part 2
Laura K. Lawless
From Laura K. Lawless, your Guide to French Language
Now that you've been practicing every day for a week and a half, you really need to join a non-virtual community so that you can practice even more.
French Communities
French Class
Sure, this is kind of obvious, but I wanted to point out some class options you might not have thought of. If you can't or won't take a class at your local community college, why not consider an online or correspondence course?

Alliance française
The Alliance française is a non-profit rganization that works to promote understanding of French language and culture around the world. With more than 100 branches in the US and hundreds more in 137 countries around the world, there is almost certain to be a branch near you. What are you waiting for?

French Club
Check out your local paper, community bulletin boards, and college campuses for local French club meetings, or create your own.
