Have you been on a plane with your baby lately? Did you take a car seat along or keep your baby on your lap? Personally, I find it much easier to keep a little one secured in a car seat, but many parents consider it more convenient to skip hauling the car seat and hold baby during the flight.

Car Seats and Airplanes: Will It Fit?
Just when you thought you had travel with baby figured out, there could be a new wrench in your careful travel plans. One mother recently found that her infant car seat wouldn't fit in the narrow airplane seat, despite being labeled as FAA approved.

NTSB Issues Airplane/Car Seat Advisory
While it still is not law that your baby needs to be in a car seat on the plane, experts generally recommend that you use one because it's safer. The National Transportation Safety Board is one agency that recommends car seats on airplanes to keep baby safe from injury during unexpected turbulence.

If you're not an experienced traveler, adding a small child or two into vacation plans can seem daunting. No worries! Here are some ways to make navigating the airport with baby a little easier.
