From Wayne Parker, your Guide to Fatherhood
I was traveling last week and enjoyed the opportunity to read some new books about fathering and parenting. As you are thinking about your summer reading list, consider adding these to your "books to read" this spring and summer.

Bobblehead Dad
Jim Higley is a columnist for the Chicago Tribune and wtites frequently on fatherhood issues. His new book, Bobblehead Dad is a personal memoir about fatherhood and surviving cancer. I totally loved this book and recommend it heartily to any father who needs a reminder about the value of life and a father's contribution.

How to Stop Hating Your Ex So You Can Co-Parent in Peace
If you are a divorced dad struggling with the emotions of divorce and co-parenting, this book is for you. Written by Rene Ashton, it is part memoir and part workbook to help any divorced parent deal with the loss of marriage, put aside the past and become a great co-parent with his ex for the benefit of the children.

The Dad I Wish I Had
A book for Christian fathers who want to become a more dedicated and committed dad and for young men preparing for fatherhood, The Dad I Wish I Had is a reflection of former NFL player Freddie Scott II's personal journey and ministry focused on helping men become Godly and responsible in their personal choices.

The Faith of a Child and Other Stories of Becoming and Being
Well written, sensitive and poignant, The Faith of a Child is a must-read for any man becoming a father for the first time. Full of stories that will at times have the reader laughing out loud and at other times thinking deeply, this book is a delightful read with material any father, young or old, will appreciate and enjoy.
