| | Teen Son Gives Up on School and Family A parent on the forum is looking for advice: My son turned 18 in December and decided to leave home 2 weeks ago. Come to find out he has been doing drugs (unknown what kind). Has pawned everything he loved. Hanging out with kids that we don't really know. He was really involved in church and went to private Christian school the last 4 years. I had to switch his cell phone over to another cell phone because he was going through the minutes. I haven't talked to him in 5 days and he had promised to call daily and hasn't. He was to graduate in 2 months and he is throwing that all away. I don't know what to do can someone please help me?
Denise's thoughts: I am sorry you are going through this. I suggest keeping in touch with him as much as possible. He is calling the shots right now, but letting him know that you will be there for him when he needs help getting back on his right path will help.
