How Old Should Teen Girls Be Before Wearing Makeup?
A parenting from our forum asks: How old should your daughter be before she should/could wear make-up? Mine is starting but it's light. What's a good age?

Denise's thoughts: I find makeup to be a social issue and something you give permission for in stages. So, if your daughter's peer group is starting to use makeup and she has gotten the courage up to ask you about it, then it's time. If she is young and in middle school, very light blush a little mascara and lip glosses will do. Then it's a progression to other types of makeup as she gets older.

Tip: Tie it together with hygiene talks about facial washes, how to remove makeup and acne prevention and care.

Asking our community of parents: What age did your daughters start using makeup? Please share your advice, experiences and opinions in the comments area.
